Description

The Maytoni Trinity left power input is a 10cm track connector that feeds mains power into a 3-phase track lighting system from the left-hand side. It accepts AC 220-240V mains input and distributes power across three independent circuits within the track, allowing three separate groups of track lights to be controlled independently on different switches or dimmers.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential installations where track lighting needs to be zoned, the connector sits at the start of a track run and feeds power to spotlights and pendants mounted further along the rail. The three-circuit architecture means you can run accent lighting on one circuit, general lighting on a second, and feature lighting on a third, all from the same physical track. The left-hand orientation determines which end of the track the power cable enters from during installation.

The connector is moulded from black plastic with internal copper contacts rated for the full AC 220-240V load across all three phases. At 10cm long and 3.3cm high, it sits flush against the ceiling or surface where the track is mounted, with the power cable entering through the rear of the unit. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only. The black finish matches standard Trinity track sections and blends into ceilings in retail and commercial spaces where the track itself is part of the visual design.

Frequently Asked

What does 3-phase mean in track lighting?

A 3-phase track carries three separate electrical circuits within the same rail, allowing three independent groups of lights to be controlled separately. This differs from single-circuit track where all lights switch on and off together. The Trinity system uses this architecture to enable zoned lighting control without running multiple separate tracks.

Why does the orientation (left or right) matter?

The left power input is designed for installations where the mains power cable enters the track from the left-hand end when you're facing the track. If your ceiling power point is on the right-hand side, you would need the right power input version instead. The orientation is fixed and cannot be reversed once installed.

Can this be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means this connector offers no protection against moisture or dust ingress and is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or any outdoor location.

What track lights are compatible?

This connector is part of the Maytoni Trinity 3-phase track system. It is compatible with Trinity track sections and Trinity-compatible track spotlights and pendants. It will not work with single-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' 3-phase systems without confirmation of compatibility.
