Description
The Knightsbridge SK9909PC is a 3-gang pop-up power socket with dual USB Fastcharge (one USB-A, one USB-C), concealed beneath a polished chrome cap that sits flush with the worktop when closed. The unit rises 445mm when fully extended, exposing three 13A UK sockets, a backlit on/off rocker switch, and the two USB charging ports. When closed, the unit carries an IP54 rating against water splashes and dust ingress.
Designed for kitchen worktops, office desks, boardroom tables and hotel room surfaces, the socket mounts into a circular 90-92mm cut-out in surfaces 10-50mm thick. The unit locks upright during use via a spring-loaded clip mechanism and can be used even when closed thanks to inverted socket positions and a cable management cap that allows charging cables to exit the unit. A 2m mains cable with fitted BS plug runs from the base of the unit, allowing connection to an existing socket without hard-wiring.
The aluminium casing and die-cast polished chrome cap provide a durable, corrosion-resistant finish suitable for high-use environments. Fastcharge technology switches output voltage between 5V and 12V depending on device capability, delivering up to 20W shared across both USB ports. The backlit rocker switch provides visual confirmation when the unit is powered, and the 10mm projection above the worktop when closed maintains a near-flush profile that does not interfere with kitchen or desk use.

Frequently Asked
What worktop thickness does it fit?
The unit mounts into worktops, desktops and table surfaces between 10mm and 50mm thick. A minimum 445mm void depth beneath the surface is required to house the retracted socket tower.
How does Fastcharge work?
Fastcharge automatically switches output voltage between 5V and 12V depending on what the connected device can accept, delivering up to 20W shared across both USB ports. Most devices activate fast charging between 0-70% battery and then revert to standard charging to protect battery health. The device itself controls the power drawn, not the socket.
Can the socket be used when closed?
Yes. The inverted socket positions and cable management cap allow charging cables to exit the unit even when the tower is fully retracted and the polished chrome cap is closed flush with the worktop.
Is the USB-C port compatible with iPhone 15?
The USB-C port on this model is not compatible with iPhone 15 charging. iPhone 15 devices can be charged via the USB-A port or via a wireless charging pad placed on the worktop. This is due to iPhone 15 not supporting voltage-switching fast charging over USB-C.
