Description
The Knightsbridge LED3WCW is a 310mm linkable LED strip light running on 24V DC low voltage, delivering 385lm of 6000K daylight output from an integrated 3W LED array. The flat aluminium profile measures 33mm wide by 8mm deep and houses the LED strip behind a polycarbonate diffuser, giving even light distribution across the full 310mm length.
Designed for under-cabinet task lighting in kitchens, workbenches, retail displays and office desk installations, the strip light mounts horizontally or vertically using the included fixing kit. Multiple units link end-to-end via the supplied coupler or via separate link leads, allowing continuous runs across longer cabinet spans. Each strip can be individually switched when connected in series, so separate cabinet sections can be controlled independently without needing separate circuits.
The 24V DC operation requires a separate constant voltage driver (sold separately), which can be a dimmable driver if variable brightness is needed. The 6000K colour temperature produces daylight-white light that increases contrast and colour accuracy for detailed work, making it more suited to task lighting than ambient or accent applications. The IP20 rating limits the strip to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where moisture contact is possible.
The L70B50 rating of 35,000 hours indicates the point at which 50% of the LED array will have degraded to 70% of initial output, equivalent to approximately 12 years of operation at 8 hours per day. The aluminium housing provides a passive heat sink that keeps the LEDs within operating temperature without requiring forced cooling or ventilation slots.

Frequently Asked
What driver is needed to power this strip light?
A 24V DC constant voltage driver is required and sold separately. The driver must supply sufficient wattage for all linked strips in the run — each 310mm strip draws 3W, so a chain of five strips would require a minimum 15W driver with headroom for safe operation.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V DC driver. The strip itself is compatible with dimming control gear, but the driver must support dimming output. Standard non-dimmable drivers will run the strip at full 385lm output only.
How many strips can be linked together?
The practical limit depends on the driver capacity. Each strip draws 3W at 24V DC (0.125A), so a 24W driver could support up to eight strips in theory, though allowing 20% headroom would reduce that to six or seven strips for reliable long-term operation.
Is it suitable for bathroom use?
No. The IP20 rating means the strip is only suitable for dry indoor locations with no moisture exposure. For bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks or outdoor canopies, an IP44 or higher rated fitting would be required.
