The Knightsbridge 230V shaver socket combines a single-voltage 20VA shaver outlet with one USB-A and one USB-C charging port behind a polished chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. Rated IP41, the socket is suitable for bathroom installation in zones 2 and 3, where it provides power for electric shavers and toothbrushes alongside charging capability for modern USB devices.

Designed specifically for bathroom use, the socket carries IP41 ingress protection against solid objects over 1mm and vertical water drips, making it compliant with UK bathroom wiring regulations when installed outside splash zones. The 230V shaver outlet delivers 20VA on a single voltage, suitable for UK and European shaver plugs. The dual USB ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output, allowing simultaneous charging of two devices at standard USB rates.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The polished chrome finish provides a high-gloss metallic accent that pairs with traditional and contemporary bathroom fittings, while the black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover and defines each outlet aperture. The built-in gasket around the plate edge provides additional moisture resistance. A 47mm minimum back box depth is required for safe installation.

Yes. The IP41 rating makes this socket suitable for bathroom installation in zones 2 and 3, typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower edge. It must not be installed within direct splash zones (zone 0 or 1).
