Description

The Knightsbridge SF8909AB is a 230V 20VA shaver socket with one USB-A and one USB-C charging port, housed behind an antique brass screwless faceplate with a black insert. The socket is certified to EN 61558 and carries an IP41 rating, protecting against solid objects above 1mm and vertically falling water droplets, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 in UK installations.

Designed for bathroom installation alongside mirrors or vanity units, the socket provides a dedicated 230V shaver supply plus 5V DC charging for USB devices at a shared 2.4A output across both ports. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean finish with no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. A built-in gasket sits between the faceplate and the wall to prevent moisture ingress behind the plate.

The antique brass finish is applied to 201 stainless steel, giving a warm bronze tone with darker patina in the recesses of the brushed surface. This pairs well with traditional brass tapware, aged brass towel rails, and warm-toned bathroom schemes.
