Description
The Knightsbridge 2-gang modular faceplate provides a matt black rounded-edge plate for custom AV, data and telecoms installations. The aperture accepts two side-by-side 25x50mm euro modules or a single 50x50mm euro module, allowing configurations of HDMI, coaxial TV, RJ45 data, USB, telephone or other euro-module inserts sold separately.
Designed for residential media walls, home offices, commercial meeting rooms and hospitality installations where standard socket plates cannot accommodate the mix of connectors needed, the faceplate mounts to a standard UK back box and the euro modules clip into the aperture from the front. The required back box depth depends on the specific euro modules being fitted — most standard modules need a 25mm minimum depth, but some deeper modules (particularly HDMI and coaxial TV) may require 35mm or 47mm boxes.
The steel faceplate measures 87.75mm square with a 7.5mm projection from the wall, matching the standard UK double-gang footprint. The rounded edge softens the profile compared to sharp-edged plates and the matt black powder-coat finish resists fingerprints and reflections under spotlighting. An integrated gasket around the aperture improves the seal between the faceplate and the euro modules, reducing dust ingress behind the plate.

Frequently Asked
What euro modules does this faceplate accept?
The aperture accepts two 25x50mm euro modules side-by-side or one 50x50mm euro module. Common options include HDMI, coaxial TV, RJ45 data, USB, telephone, speaker terminal and blank modules. Euro modules are sold separately and clip into the faceplate from the front.
What back box depth is required?
The required depth depends on the euro modules being fitted. Most standard modules need a 25mm minimum back box, but deeper modules such as HDMI and coaxial TV connectors may require 35mm or 47mm boxes to accommodate the cable bends behind the plate.
Is the faceplate screw-fixed?
Yes. The plate fixes to a standard UK double-gang back box with two screws visible on the front face. This differs from Knightsbridge's screwless range where a separate sub-frame hides the screws behind a clipped cover plate.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces this modular faceplate design in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass and white. Use the search function to find other variants in stock at Niori.
