Description

A 13A double socket for rooms where a white plastic plate would look like an afterthought. The front is screwless, so the face reads as a single flat panel with nothing to catch the eye at the corners, and the moss green is soft and earthy rather than bright. Chrome inserts frame the pin apertures and pick out the rocker switches, giving the colour something crisp to sit against. Both sides switch independently, on the longer two gang plate.

We reach for coloured plates in kitchens, snugs and home offices, anywhere the walls are already painted and a stark white socket would jump out of the scheme. Moss green settles well against off-whites, clay and stone shades, and it goes quiet on panelling or a deeper green wall.
