Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang blanking plate covers unused or redundant electrical back boxes behind a polished brass screwless faceplate. The plate measures 147.5mm × 87.5mm and projects just 4.3mm from the wall once fitted, giving a low-profile finish that sits flush with surrounding switches and sockets in the same range.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the blanking plate fits standard 2-gang back boxes where wiring has been capped off or where future outlets may be needed. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings behind the faceplate for a clean wall finish. An integrated gasket around the plate edge seals against dust ingress and provides friction for a secure clip-fit.

The polished brass finish is lacquer-coated premium-grade steel, providing the warm metallic tone of solid brass at lower cost and weight. The plate includes an earth terminal for Class I earthing and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations. The 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and finish degradation under normal indoor use.

What back box does this fit?

The blanking plate fits any standard 2-gang back box (147mm × 86mm centres). The screwless cover clips onto a separate sub-frame that fixes to the back box with standard screws.

Is the screwless plate removable?

Yes. The polished brass cover plate clips onto the sub-frame and can be removed for redecorating or maintenance, then re-clipped without needing to disturb the wiring or back box fixings.

Does it need an earth connection?

The plate includes an earth terminal for Class I earthing. Where the back box is metal and bonded to the earth system, connecting the plate's earth terminal to the back box earth is recommended for safety continuity.
