14W CCT LED Bulkhead With Corridor Function - White

The Knightsbridge BT14CTA is a 14W LED bulkhead fitting with a switchable colour temperature function offering 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or 5700K daylight output from a single luminaire. A corridor function dims the light to 10% standby when no movement is detected, then restores full output when motion is sensed, reducing energy use in intermittently-used spaces like hallways, stairwells and plant rooms.

Designed for wall or ceiling mounting in both internal and external environments, the bulkhead carries an IP65 rating against dust and water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations, bathrooms, commercial kitchens, loading bays and plant rooms. The 315mm diameter polycarbonate body and opal diffuser give a 115-degree beam angle that spreads light evenly across corridors and small rooms without creating harsh shadows or glare zones.

The hinged LED gear tray opens for cable access without removing the bulkhead from the wall, simplifying maintenance and lamp replacement if needed. A push-fit terminal block accepts cable runs without tools, and the low 74mm projection keeps the fitting close to the mounting surface. How does the CCT adjustment work?

The bulkhead includes a switch accessible from the rear gear tray that cycles between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 5700K daylight. The selection is made during installation and remains fixed until the gear tray is opened again. Each CCT setting produces a different lumen output: 3000K gives 1085lm, 4000K gives 1285lm, and 5700K gives 1130lm.

What does the corridor function do?

When corridor mode is enabled, the bulkhead dims to 10% output after a set period of no detected movement, then returns to 100% when motion is detected. This reduces energy consumption in hallways, stairwells and storage areas that are used intermittently throughout the day.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as canopies, porch areas, loading bays and external stairwells. It should not be installed in fully exposed locations subject to direct rain or pooling water.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED array is integrated into the gear tray rather than being a separate bulb. The hinged tray design allows access for repairs or replacement if needed, but the L70B50 rating of 60,000 hours suggests the LED will outlast most building fit-out cycles before requiring attention.
