Description
The Knightsbridge 13A switched fused spur combines a rocker switch, neon indicator and flex outlet behind a polished chrome screwless faceplate. The unit isolates a fixed appliance circuit through an internal 13A fuse, with the neon providing visible confirmation when power is switched on. The flex outlet at the base allows hard-wired appliances to be connected without needing to cut through the back of the mounting box.
Designed for kitchen and utility installations where fixed appliances need isolated control, the fused spur suits boilers, washing machines, dishwashers, heated towel rails and under-worktop appliances. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings once installed. The 25mm minimum back box depth makes it compatible with standard UK back boxes, and the 4.3mm projection from the wall maintains a low profile on finished surfaces.
The polished chrome finish provides a reflective surface that pairs with contemporary, industrial and modern interiors. The premium-grade steel construction carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty and meets BS 1363-4 certification. The built-in gasket between the faceplate and sub-frame improves dust and moisture resistance to IP20 level, while the earth terminal ensures safe installation with metal back boxes and metal-clad cables.

Frequently Asked
What appliances is this designed for?
The 13A fused spur suits fixed appliances drawing up to 3,000W, including boilers, washing machines, dishwashers, heated towel rails, under-worktop ovens and waste disposal units. The flex outlet allows appliances to be hard-wired without needing to run the cable through the back of the mounting box.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm projection from the wall surface once fitted, giving a low-profile finish suitable for tiled or painted walls.
What does the neon indicator show?
The red neon indicator at the top of the faceplate glows when the switch is in the on position and power is flowing to the fused circuit. This provides visible confirmation that the appliance is powered without needing to check the appliance itself.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The polished chrome cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed to paint or tile around the fitting and re-clipped without rewiring.
