Description

This Knightsbridge 13A switched fused spur combines a rocker switch, neon power indicator and flex outlet behind a matt black screwless faceplate constructed from premium-grade steel. The unit provides switched protection for hardwired appliances such as boilers, water heaters, washing machines and kitchen extractors, with the neon indicator confirming when power is flowing to the connected appliance.

Designed for domestic and light commercial installation where hardwired appliances require individual circuit protection, the fused spur accepts a standard 13A fuse cartridge and isolates the appliance from the main ring circuit when the switch is off. The flex outlet at the base allows cable to exit cleanly without the need for a separate cable-exit plate. The screwless cover plate clips onto a metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed.

The matt black finish provides a low-sheen contrast to lighter wall colours and integrates cleanly with contemporary and industrial interiors. The 87.5mm square faceplate sits 4.3mm proud of the wall when fitted to a 25mm minimum depth back box. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and carries IP20 rating for dry indoor locations. A 25-year manufacturer's warranty covers the mechanical and electrical components.
