Description
The Knightsbridge CL63FBC is a 13A switched fused spur unit with a neon indicator and flex outlet, finished in brushed chrome with a rounded edge profile. The unit provides switched control and fused protection for a single fixed appliance, with the flex outlet allowing the cable to exit through the faceplate rather than requiring a separate connection box.
Designed for controlling hard-wired appliances such as electric water heaters, boilers, extractor fans, heated towel rails and kitchen appliances, the fused spur isolates the appliance circuit with its own fuse. The neon indicator glows red when the switch is in the on position, providing visual confirmation of power to the connected appliance. The flex outlet is a 20mm knock-out aperture in the faceplate, suitable for cable passing directly through to the appliance behind.
The brushed chrome faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a directional brushed finish that softens reflections and pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The rounded edge profile sits slightly proud of the wall surface with a gentle curve to the faceplate edge, giving a softer visual finish than sharp-cornered plates. A built-in gasket behind the faceplate provides a tight seal to the mounting box. The unit fits a standard 25mm minimum depth back box and carries a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What appliances is this fused spur suitable for?
The 13A rating makes it suitable for most fixed household appliances including electric water heaters, boilers, extractor fans, heated towel rails, washing machines and dishwashers. The fuse inside the unit provides dedicated circuit protection for the connected appliance.
What is the flex outlet used for?
The flex outlet is a 20mm knock-out aperture in the faceplate that allows the appliance cable to pass directly through the plate. This is useful when the appliance sits immediately behind or below the fused spur, avoiding the need for a separate junction box or connection method.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is required for safe installation. The faceplate adds 7.5mm of projection from the wall once fitted.
What does the neon indicator show?
The red neon indicator glows when the switch is in the on position, confirming that power is being supplied to the connected appliance. When the switch is off, the neon is dark.
