Description
The Knightsbridge M6000N is a 13A metal clad fused spur unit with an integrated neon indicator, housed in a heavy-duty powder-coated steel box. The unit combines the fused spur mechanism and back box into a single 82mm square enclosure that projects 45mm from the mounting surface, eliminating the need for a separate back box during installation.
Designed for garage workshops, outdoor outbuildings, utility rooms and industrial environments where standard plastic accessories lack durability, the metal clad construction provides impact resistance and mechanical protection against knocks, tool drops and accidental contact. The fused spur isolates a single appliance or circuit, with the neon indicator glowing red when the switch is in the on position, providing visual confirmation of live status from across a room or workshop.
The premium-grade steel construction is powder-coated in a neutral grey finish that hides dirt and tool marks better than white plastic alternatives. The unit is certified to BS 1363-4 and rated IP20, making it suitable for dry indoor locations including unheated garages and workshops. The 13A rating handles typical fixed appliances such as boilers, extractor fans, electric heaters and workshop machinery drawing up to 3,120W at 230V. Knightsbridge backs this unit with a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Does this need a separate back box?
No. The M6000N combines the fused spur mechanism and back box into a single metal clad unit. The integrated back box is part of the 45mm projection from the mounting surface.
What does the neon indicator show?
The neon glows red when the switch is in the on position, confirming the spur is live. When the switch is off, the neon is dark. This provides at-a-glance status confirmation from across a room or workshop.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
The IP20 rating means the unit is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for direct outdoor exposure or wet environments. For outdoor or wet locations, a higher IP rating such as IP66 is required.
What warranty does it carry?
Knightsbridge provides a 25-year warranty on this metal clad fused spur unit, covering manufacturing defects and material failures under normal use.
