Description
The Knightsbridge 13A fused module is a grid-mount fused connection unit designed for permanent appliance circuits, supplied with a replaceable 13A fuse and finished in white UREA. The module clips into separately-available Knightsbridge grid frames from the front, allowing the fuse to be accessed and replaced without removing the entire unit from the wall.
Designed for fixed appliance connections in kitchens (under-counter fridges, washing machines, dishwashers), bathrooms (shaver sockets, heated towel rails) and utility rooms where a switched fused spur is needed within a modular grid system. The 13A rating handles loads up to 3,120W on 230V 50Hz circuits, with the fuse providing overload protection for the appliance rather than the ring main.
The module measures 24.8mm wide (one grid module width) and 56.3mm high, with a 21.2mm recessed depth behind the faceplate requiring a minimum 35mm back box. The white UREA finish is a hard-wearing thermoset plastic that resists yellowing and scuffing better than standard ABS white finishes. The IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked
What is this module used for?
The 13A fused module provides a fused connection point for permanently-wired appliances within a Knightsbridge grid system. It is typically used for kitchen appliances (dishwashers, washing machines, fridges) or bathroom appliances (heated towel rails) where a fused spur is required but you want the fitting to match the rest of a grid-mounted installation.
What grid frame does it fit?
This module fits Knightsbridge grid mounting frames, sold separately. It occupies one grid module width (24.8mm) and clips in from the front. You will need to choose a frame sized to accommodate the total number of modules you are installing (e.g. a 2-gang frame for two modules, a 3-gang frame for three modules).
Can the fuse be replaced?
Yes. The module is supplied with a 13A fuse which can be accessed and replaced from the front without removing the module from the grid frame or disconnecting wiring. Standard 13A fuses for UK fused plugs and spurs are used.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the 21.2mm recessed depth of the module plus the depth of the grid frame and wiring space behind.
