Description

The Knightsbridge 13A fused module is a grid insert that provides circuit protection for fixed appliances via a replaceable 13A fuse housed within a smoked bronze ABS module. The module clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames (sold separately) and is designed for installation where a dedicated fused spur is needed for appliances such as ovens, extractor fans, washing machines and fixed heating elements.

Used in kitchens, utility rooms and domestic installations where grid systems allow multiple functions to be combined in a single faceplate, the module fits into standard 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-module grid frames. The front-mounted clip-in fitting allows the module to be removed for fuse replacement without disconnecting the wiring behind the mounting frame. The 13A fuse provides overcurrent protection specific to the appliance circuit, isolating the load from the ring main in the event of a fault.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic tone that pairs with contemporary and industrial interiors, providing a warmer alternative to polished or brushed chrome. The module measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide, occupying one grid space within a larger mounting frame, and requires a minimum 35mm back box depth for safe installation. The IP20 rating makes the module suitable for indoor dry locations only.

Does this include the mounting frame?

No. The module is sold separately from the grid mounting frames. You will need to purchase a compatible Knightsbridge grid frame (1-, 2-, 3- or 4-module depending on your installation) to house this fused module.

Can the fuse be replaced?

Yes. The module accepts a standard 13A cartridge fuse, which can be replaced from the front without removing the module from the mounting frame or disconnecting the wiring.
