Description

The Knightsbridge 13A fused module is a single-width grid insert that houses a replaceable 13A cartridge fuse for appliance circuit protection. The module measures 24.8mm wide and clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames from the front without requiring tools, allowing it to be positioned alongside switches, sockets and other grid modules in a modular faceplate configuration.

Designed for fixed appliance installations such as cooker hoods, water heaters, boilers and extractor fans where local fused isolation is required, the module provides accessible fuse replacement without needing to access the consumer unit. The fuse can be withdrawn using the embossed rocker mechanism on the front face, which releases the cartridge carrier for inspection or replacement. Mounting frames are sold separately and available in various gang configurations to suit different installation requirements.

The module body is constructed from ABS with steel mounting clips, finished in matt white to match standard grid ranges. The 35mm minimum mounting box depth allows installation in standard back boxes, and the IP20 rating makes the module suitable for dry indoor locations. The 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and mechanical failure of the mounting mechanism.
