Description
The Knightsbridge 13A fused module is a single-gang grid component with a brushed chrome faceplate and 'FUSE' legend, designed to provide switched fused protection for fixed appliances in modular grid installations. The module is supplied with a replaceable 13A fuse and clips into the front of a Knightsbridge grid frame (sold separately), allowing the fuse to be accessed and replaced without removing the faceplate or disturbing the wiring.
Designed for fixed appliances such as extractor fans, cooker hoods, security lighting and bathroom fans in residential and light commercial settings, the module provides localised overcurrent protection and isolation for the connected circuit. The clip-in design means the module snaps into place from the front of the frame once the frame is fixed to the back box, reducing installation time compared to screw-fixed modules. The 35mm minimum back box depth requirement is typical for standard grid installations.
The ABS and steel construction provides rigidity and heat resistance around the fuse contacts, while the brushed chrome finish on the front plate matches other Knightsbridge grid accessories in the same finish range. The IP20 rating makes the module suitable for dry indoor locations but not for use in bathrooms within zones 0, 1 or 2. The fuse carrier is accessed by pressing the release catch on the front of the module, allowing the fuse to be replaced without tools.

Frequently Asked
What is this module used for?
This fused module provides switched fused protection for fixed appliances such as extractor fans, cooker hoods, security lighting and bathroom fans. It is installed as part of a Knightsbridge modular grid system, clipping into a separate frame that mounts to a back box.
Is the frame included?
No. The module clips into a Knightsbridge grid frame which is sold separately. Frames are available in 1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang and 4-gang configurations to suit the number of modules being installed.
Can the fuse be replaced without removing the module?
Yes. The fuse carrier is accessed from the front by pressing the release catch on the module face, allowing the 13A fuse to be removed and replaced without removing the module from the frame or disturbing the wiring.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 35mm back box depth is required for safe installation of the module and frame together. This is a standard depth for grid system installations.
