The Knightsbridge CL9940PC is a 13A 2-gang single-pole switched socket with one USB-A and one USB-C charging port, set behind a polished chrome rounded edge faceplate with black inserts and matching black metal rocker switches. The 5V DC 4.0A shared output across both USB ports handles simultaneous charging of phones, tablets and other USB-powered devices without needing a separate charger plugged into the mains outlets.

Designed for residential kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, the socket fits standard UK back boxes with a minimum depth of 25-35mm depending on wiring conditions. The rounded edge design includes a built-in gasket that sits flush against the wall, creating a sealed edge around the faceplate for a cleaner finish than traditional flat-edge plates. The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is switched off, suitable for standard domestic appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.
