Description

The Knightsbridge SFR992LBC is a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket combined with a 2-gang modular aperture and dual USB fast charge ports (one USB-C, one USB-A) on a single 235mm brushed chrome screwless faceplate with black insert. The modular aperture accepts either two 25x50mm Euro modules or one 50x50mm module, allowing custom installation of data, HDMI, satellite, phone or audio connectors depending on room requirements.

Designed for home offices, entertainment centres, kitchens and bedroom bedside positions where mains power, device charging and AV/data connectivity converge at a single wall point, the combination plate consolidates multiple functions without needing separate faceplates side by side. The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral on the 13A outlets when switched off. The USB ports deliver shared 5V DC 4.0A output with Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery protocol support, providing up to 18W charging power that automatically throttles as a device battery nears capacity.

The brushed chrome finish over 201 stainless steel gives a mid-tone metallic surface that pairs with both warm and cool interiors, while the black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and defines each aperture edge. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean wall finish with no visible fixings. The plate fits 35-47mm mounting boxes (Knightsbridge GSK335D or GSK347D recommended) and includes twin earth terminals for safe installation. USB standby draw is 0.1W when no devices are connected.

Module inserts are sold separately — the 2-gang aperture provides the physical space and frame but does not include the actual data/AV connectors. This allows flexibility to specify exactly which connections are needed at the time of installation or to change them later without replacing the entire faceplate.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The brushed chrome cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the socket and re-clipped afterwards without disturbing the wiring or modules.
