Description

The Knightsbridge SFR992LMW combines a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket, a 2-gang modular aperture, and dual USB fast charging (one USB-A, one USB-C) behind a single matt white screwless faceplate with matching white insert. The modular aperture accepts two 25x50mm Euro modules or one 50x50mm module, allowing data outlets, HDMI, TV coax, or audio connectors to be integrated alongside the power and USB charging.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation where multiple connection types are needed in one location, the combination plate suits kitchen worktops, desk positions, media walls and bedside tables. The dual-pole switching on both 13A outlets isolates live and neutral when switched off. The USB ports deliver 5V DC at up to 4.0A combined output and support Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery protocols for fast charging of compatible devices.

The matt white finish provides a neutral, low-reflection surface that integrates cleanly with white or light-coloured walls. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall. The faceplate requires a 35-47mm minimum back box depth (Knightsbridge GSK335D or GSK347D recommended) and projects 9.5mm from the wall once installed. Internal thermal and overload protection safeguards the USB charging circuits, and the unit carries ErP compliance with 0.1W standby consumption when no devices are connected.

The USB-A and USB-C ports deliver 5V DC at up to 4.0A combined. Both ports support Quick Charge (QC) and USB Power Delivery (USBPD) protocols. Fast charging is limited to devices with battery levels below 70%, after which charging slows to preserve battery health.

What back box depth is required?

A 35-47mm minimum back box depth is needed. Knightsbridge recommends the GSK335D (35mm) or GSK347D (47mm) dry lining boxes for this combination plate. The faceplate projects 9.5mm from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The matt white cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the socket and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring.
