Description

The Knightsbridge SFR992RAT combines a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket, two 25x50mm Euro module spaces, and dual USB fast charge ports (one USB-A, one USB-C) behind a single anthracite screwless faceplate with a black insert. The modular spaces on the left accept standard 25x50mm Euro modules or one 50x50mm double-width module, allowing data, HDMI, audio or other connections to be installed alongside mains power.

Designed for modern residential, office and hospitality installations where power, connectivity and device charging need to be grouped in a single wall position, the plate sits 235mm wide and requires a minimum 35mm back box depth (Knightsbridge GSK335D or GSK347D recommended). The dual-pole switching isolates both live and neutral on the mains sockets when switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances. The USB ports share a 5V 4A output and support USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols, fast-charging compatible devices from 0-70% battery capacity before reverting to standard charge mode to protect battery health.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey powder-coated steel that reads almost charcoal under most lighting, pairing with industrial, contemporary and monochrome interiors. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box, so there are no visible fixings once installed. The black insert behind the anthracite faceplate hides the back of the cover and defines the edges of each outlet and module aperture. Over Voltage Category III protection, overload protection and overheat safety features are built into the socket, and the USB section complies with ErP standby requirements at 0.1W.

What modules can fit in the 2-gang modular spaces?

The two 25x50mm Euro module spaces accept standard data modules (Cat6, Cat5e), HDMI, USB, audio jacks, coax, satellite or blank plates. Alternatively, one 50x50mm double-width module can occupy both spaces. Modules are sold separately and clip into the aperture from the front once the socket is installed.

What's the USB fast charge output?

The USB-A and USB-C ports share a 5V 4A output and support USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols. Fast charge operates from 0-70% battery capacity, then switches to standard charge mode to protect long-term battery health. Only certified USB cables should be used to ensure safe fast charging.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is required. Knightsbridge recommends the GSK335D (35mm) or GSK347D (47mm) back boxes for this plate. The 9.5mm projection from the wall once fitted means the total depth from wall surface to the back of the box should be at least 44.5mm to accommodate wiring.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The anthracite cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame that is screw-fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or decorating around the socket and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or modules.
