The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang SP switched socket adds two USB-A charging ports behind a black nickel screwless faceplate with a black insert. The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is switched off, while the USB ports remain permanently powered for device charging. The dual USB-A ports share a combined 2.4A output at 5V, allowing two devices to charge simultaneously.

Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial installation, the socket fits a 25-35mm back box depth depending on wiring configuration and cable volume. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, eliminating visible fixings for a cleaner wall finish. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 2,990W, making the socket suitable for desk lamps, phone chargers, laptop power supplies and small kitchen appliances.

The black nickel finish is a dark gunmetal tone with subtle warm undertones, created by electroplating black nickel over 201 stainless steel. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the socket aperture and USB ports. The metal rocker switch matches the black nickel finish, and a built-in gasket provides a flush fit against the wall surface. BS1363-2, EMC and ErP certifications confirm compliance with UK safety and energy standards.
