The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is switched off, while the USB ports remain permanently powered for overnight charging. The dual USB-A ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output, providing simultaneous charging for phones and tablets.

Designed for residential and light commercial installation, the socket fits a 25-35mm back box depth depending on the volume of cables being terminated. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings behind the matt white finish. This gives a cleaner wall appearance than traditional screw-fixed plates and makes the socket easier to wipe down in kitchens and bathrooms where fingerprints and splashes accumulate.

The matt white finish provides a neutral surface that blends into white-painted walls and light-toned interiors without the reflective glare of polished finishes. The white insert behind the faceplate matches the outer plate, creating a monochrome appearance across the socket aperture and rocker switch. The built-in gasket between the plate and the wall reduces dust ingress around the socket edges. What back box depth is required?

The socket requires a 25-35mm back box depth depending on the number of cables being terminated. Standard single-gang back boxes at 25mm accommodate basic installations, while 35mm boxes provide more cable management space for ring-main or spur configurations.

What's the USB charging output?

The dual USB-A ports share a 5V DC 2.4A output. When charging two devices simultaneously, the 2.4A is split between them. Single-device charging provides the full 2.4A to that device.

Does switching off the socket cut power to the USB ports?

No. The single-pole switch isolates only the 13A mains outlet. The USB ports remain permanently powered, allowing overnight charging without needing to leave the mains socket switched on.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring. The built-in gasket re-seats against the wall when the plate is replaced.
