Description

The Knightsbridge SFR9905BC is a 13A 1-gang switched socket with an integrated 3W RMS Bluetooth speaker and dual USB charging ports behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert. The socket combines mains power, audio streaming and device charging in a single 147.5mm wide plate, replacing the need for separate power outlets, plug-in speakers and USB adapters.

Designed for kitchens, bedrooms, home offices and hotel rooms where counter or desk space is limited, the socket streams audio from any Bluetooth-enabled device (phone, tablet, laptop) through the built-in speaker grille. The speaker connects via the Bluetooth button on the faceplate and supports voice assistant commands when paired with Alexa or similar platforms. The dual USB ports share 5V DC 2.4A output for charging two devices simultaneously, while the 13A switched socket handles standard UK appliance loads up to 2,990W.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, giving a clean finish with no visible fixings once installed. The brushed chrome finish is a directional brushed 201 stainless steel that resists fingerprints and pairs with contemporary and transitional interiors. The socket requires a minimum 35mm back box depth and projects 9.3mm from the wall when fitted. The unit is EMC and LVD certified, RED compliant for wireless transmission, and carries a 2-year warranty.

Press the Bluetooth button on the faceplate to put the speaker into pairing mode. The socket appears as an available Bluetooth device on your phone, tablet or laptop. Once paired, audio streams wirelessly to the 3W speaker built into the socket grille.

What is the USB charging output?

The dual USB ports share 5V DC 2.4A output between them. Charging two devices simultaneously splits the 2.4A current between both ports, so a single device charges faster than two devices plugged in at once.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed. The socket's recessed depth is 31.4mm, and the plate adds 9.3mm of projection from the wall once the screwless cover is clipped on.
