Description

The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket combines a polished brass screwless faceplate with a white insert behind the outlet aperture. The double-pole switch isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances.

Designed for residential and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The white insert behind the brass faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. At 4.3mm projection from the wall, the ultra-flat profile sits close to the surface without protruding into the room space. The plate measures 87.5mm square and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use.

Constructed from premium-grade steel with a polished brass coating, the socket includes twin earth terminals for flexible wiring configurations and carries BS 1363:2 certification. Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring.
