The Knightsbridge MR7000N is a 13A 1-gang DP switched socket with a red neon indicator housed in a powder-coated silver metal casing. The socket integrates the back box and faceplate into a single 82mm square unit with a 45mm projection from the mounting surface, removing the need for a separate flush box during installation.

Designed for garages, workshops, utility rooms, sheds and commercial spaces where robust wiring accessories are needed, the metal-clad construction withstands knocks and impacts better than standard moulded plastic sockets. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw power tools and appliances. The red neon indicator glows when the socket is switched on, giving clear visual confirmation of the live state.

The casing is constructed from premium-grade steel with a powder-coated silver finish that resists corrosion and wear. The 82mm square footprint mounts directly to masonry, timber studs or metal conduit runs using the fixing holes built into the back of the unit. Captive terminals simplify wiring and reduce the risk of loose connections during installation or maintenance. The socket carries BS 1363-2 certification and a 25-year manufacturer warranty.
