Description

The Knightsbridge CRDL10 is a 10W COB LED recessed downlight delivering 1080 lumens of 4000K cool white light through a 95° beam angle. The fitting uses chip-on-board LED technology paired with a high-output reflector to direct light downwards and outwards, while an anti-glare fascia around the aperture reduces direct view of the light source from typical viewing angles.

Designed for commercial offices, retail spaces, conference rooms and residential kitchens or utility areas requiring crisp white task lighting, the downlight fits a 125mm ceiling cut-out and requires a minimum void depth of 100mm above the ceiling plane. The integrated trailing-edge dimmable driver allows brightness adjustment when paired with compatible dimmers, and the 30,000-hour L70B50 rating indicates the LED will maintain at least 70% of its initial output after 30,000 hours of use.

The aluminium and polycarbonate construction with a white powder-coated finish sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, presenting a 135mm diameter faceplate around the central aperture. The Class II double-insulated design does not require an earth connection, simplifying installation in locations where earthing may be difficult. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments, and the constant current driver connects via a 0.3m cable to mains wiring concealed above the ceiling.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The COB LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 30,000 hours at L70B50, which translates to approximately 10-15 years of typical commercial use before output drops to 70% of the original 1080 lumens.

What ceiling void depth is required?

A minimum 100mm void above the ceiling is needed to accommodate the 70mm recessed depth of the fitting plus the external driver and cable connections. The ceiling cut-out diameter is 125mm.

Is it suitable for bathroom installation?

No. The IP20 rating indicates this downlight is designed for dry indoor environments only. It is not rated for use in zones 1 or 2 of bathrooms where moisture ingress is a concern. For bathrooms, look for IP44 or IP65 rated fittings.

What dimmers are compatible?

The integrated driver is compatible with trailing-edge dimmers only. Leading-edge or resistive dimmers may cause flickering or reduced lifespan. Confirm the dimmer specification before installation, or contact us for recommended compatible models.
