Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 4-gang 2-way switch controls four independent lighting circuits from a single polished brass flat plate. Each gang is rated at 10 amps (10AX) on 230V mains, handling loads up to 2,300W per circuit. The 2-way switching configuration allows each circuit to be controlled from two separate locations — useful in rooms with multiple doorways or at the top and bottom of stairs.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the flat plate measures 147.5mm wide by 87.5mm high with an ultra-low 2.5mm projection from the wall once mounted. The polished brass finish is applied to premium-grade steel, giving a warm metallic surface that suits traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The matching brass rockers sit flush with the plate, creating a unified finish with no contrasting plastics visible.

The switch requires a minimum 16mm back box depth, making it compatible with shallow back boxes in stud walls and plasterboard partitions where deeper boxes cannot fit. A built-in gasket behind the plate protects the terminal block from dust ingress, and the IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations. The switch carries EN 60669-1 certification and is backed by Knightsbridge's 25-year warranty.

2-way switching allows each of the four lighting circuits to be controlled from two separate switch locations. For example, you can turn a hallway light on from a switch at one end and off from a switch at the other end. This requires two 2-way switches wired together per circuit.
