Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 2-gang 2-way toggle switch controls two separate lighting circuits from multiple locations, finished with an antique brass screwless faceplate over a 201 stainless steel construction. The 10AX rating handles loads up to 2,300W per gang, suitable for household lighting circuits including LED, halogen and incandescent fittings.
Designed for residential and hospitality installation, the switch fits rooms where lighting is controlled from more than one point — hallways, staircases, large living rooms and bedrooms with door and bedside switching. The ultra-flat plate measures 4.3mm deep with a total projection from the wall of 22.7mm once installed, giving a lower profile than standard screw-fixed plates. The screwless design clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall surface.
The antique brass finish provides a warm, aged metallic tone that pairs with traditional, period and heritage interiors. The faceplate is brushed during manufacture to create fine linear texture across the surface, then treated to develop the darker patina visible around the toggle apertures. An integral moisture-protective gasket sits between the faceplate and back box, rated IP20 for dry indoor locations. The 16mm minimum back box depth makes the switch compatible with shallow pattress boxes in solid walls.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way switching mean?
2-way switching allows the same light to be controlled from two different switch locations. For example, a hallway light can be turned on or off from switches at either end of the hallway. This switch is a 2-gang 2-way, meaning it controls two separate lighting circuits, each with 2-way capability.
What back box depth is required?
A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed. The ultra-flat design allows installation in shallow pattress boxes commonly found in solid walls where recessing depth is limited.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The antique brass cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that remains fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or decorating around the switch and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces the ultra-flat screwless toggle switch in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt black and white. Use the search function or filters to find other finishes in stock at Niori.
