Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 1-gang 2-way toggle switch provides a single switching point for controlling lighting or appliances from two locations, mounted behind a polished brass flat plate with a matching brass toggle. The 10AX rating handles loads up to 2,300W on 230V circuits, suitable for standard domestic lighting and small appliances.

Designed for 2-way circuits where a light or appliance needs control from two separate positions—opposite ends of a hallway, top and bottom of a staircase, or bedroom door and bedside—the switch uses a rocker mechanism inside the toggle for reliable make-and-break action. The flat plate sits just 2.5mm proud of the wall surface, giving a low-profile finish that works in both contemporary and period settings.

The polished brass finish is applied to premium-grade steel construction, giving a warm metallic tone that develops a natural patina over time unless regularly polished. The plate includes a built-in gasket behind the faceplate to reduce moisture ingress and improve durability in higher-humidity areas within the IP20 limit. The switch requires a minimum 16mm back box depth and carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty.
