The Knightsbridge 1-gang surface box is a 92.5mm square polycarbonate mounting frame finished in brushed chrome, designed to accommodate a single 1-gang screwless or flat plate accessory where surface mounting is required. The box projects 34mm from the wall surface once installed and provides internal cable routing channels and fixing lugs for secure accessory attachment.

Surface boxes are used where back boxes cannot be recessed into the wall — typically in solid masonry, tiled surfaces, glass partitions, or retrofit installations where cutting into the wall is impractical. This box accepts any standard Knightsbridge 1-gang screwless or flat plate accessory (switches, sockets, dimmers, data ports) and the brushed chrome finish matches the faceplate for a coordinated appearance. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations including kitchens, offices, and bedrooms.

The polycarbonate construction provides impact resistance and dimensional stability across temperature changes, while the brushed chrome finish is applied as a metallic coating over the polycarbonate base. The box includes internal cable entry points at the rear and sides, allowing cables to enter from multiple directions depending on the installation route. The 25-year warranty covers material defects and finish degradation under normal indoor use.
