Description

The Zinta is a 100cm diameter three-tier crystal chandelier carrying 22 E14 candle bulbs across upper, middle and lower tiers, with Asfour cut-crystal droplets suspended from a polished chrome scrollwork frame. The central column features a large cut-crystal sphere and block, which act as a secondary light refractor when the chandelier is lit. The chandelier arrives in multiple components requiring on-site assembly and wiring before suspension.

Designed for entrance halls, staircases with open wells, and formal dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Zinta's minimum 1540mm drop allows the lower tier to clear head height in double-height spaces. The adjustable chain permits drops up to 3490mm for use in grand stairwells and hotel foyers. The three-tier structure spreads light vertically through the space rather than concentrating it at a single height, making the chandelier effective in tall rooms where a single-tier fitting would leave the upper volume unlit.

Each tier carries crystal sconces in scroll frames, with the upper tier holding 6 bulbs, the middle tier 6, and the lower tier 10, creating a wider light spread at the base. The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity, multiplying the light output from the crystals when the chandelier is lit. The crystals themselves are Asfour lead-free optical crystal cut to 30% lead equivalent clarity, offering strong refraction without the environmental and health concerns of traditional lead crystal. At 26.4kg the chandelier requires ceiling reinforcement — a standard plasterboard ceiling rose will not support this weight safely.

Bulbs are sold separately. The chandelier accepts any E14 candle-style LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 20W per socket (440W total maximum load). Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen — pair with dimmable LEDs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer for full control. Installation requires a qualified electrician familiar with heavy pendant fittings and chain-suspension assemblies.

No. The Zinta requires 22 E14 candle-style bulbs up to 20W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 3-6W and 2700K-3000K for a traditional warm glow without excessive running costs.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 1540mm drop requires a ceiling height of at least 3m to keep the lower tier above head height in circulation areas. For dining tables the chandelier can hang lower if the room height allows. The adjustable chain permits drops up to 3490mm for stairwells and double-height entrance halls.

Does the ceiling need reinforcing?

Yes. At 26.4kg the chandelier exceeds the safe load for standard plasterboard ceiling roses. A joist-mounted fixing point or a ceiling spreader plate bolted through to a structural timber or concrete ceiling is required. Consult a structural engineer or qualified electrician before installation.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow bulbs to cool. Remove dust from crystals using a dry microfibre cloth or a feather duster. For deeper cleaning, wipe individual crystals with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dry immediately. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the fitting as it may damage the chrome frame or drip onto electrical components.
