Description

The Zinta is a 75cm two-tier crystal chandelier built on a polished chrome frame with 12 candle-style E14 bulb positions arranged across upper and lower arms. Each arm carries faceted Asfour crystal droplets and beads that hang from the scrolled metalwork, surrounding a central column of cut crystal spheres. The chandelier is supplied with chain and ceiling canopy for adjustable suspension between 870mm and 2340mm drop.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Zinta suits spaces where a decorative centrepiece is needed over a dining table or in the middle of a room up to 5m square. The 75cm diameter gives presence without overwhelming typical UK domestic room proportions. The two-tier structure places 4 bulbs on the upper tier and 8 on the lower tier, spreading light vertically and horizontally. The chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and artificial light from the bulbs, intensifying the sparkle from the crystal.

Asfour crystal is machine-cut optical crystal originating from Egypt, widely used in decorative lighting for its clarity and consistent faceting. The droplets and spheres on the Zinta refract light into prismatic colours when lit, creating moving patterns on nearby walls and ceilings as the crystals catch air movement. The chandelier weighs 15kg once assembled, so installation requires a ceiling fixing rated for this load and competent wiring to a ceiling rose. Bulbs are sold separately — most users fit 12 x E14 LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for warm ambient light.

The Zinta takes 12 x E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light that suits dining and living rooms.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The chandelier itself does not include dimming electronics — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 870mm plus the 75cm diameter of the chandelier itself means rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above work best. Lower ceilings may feel cramped once the chandelier is hung, especially if the fitting is positioned over a dining table where headroom matters.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Remove dust with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. For deeper cleaning, individual crystal droplets can be wiped gently with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and distilled water — avoid soaking the metal fittings or using chemical sprays.
