Description

The Zevi EL is a wall-mounted exterior light for a house front, entrance or boundary wall, taking a single GU10 PAR16 lamp rated to a maximum 10W. It throws light up and down the surface it sits on, washing the wall above and below the fitting for a clean architectural effect rather than broad area light. American buyers will know this form as an outdoor wall sconce or façade light, fixed beside a door or along a wall.

Mounted on a porch, carport, entrance or garden wall, the Zevi EL is suited to sheltered and covered outdoor positions. Its narrow up-and-down beam grazes brick, render or stone close to the fitting, so coverage is best judged by the wall it lights rather than a floor area. Set at roughly eye to head height beside a doorway, it marks the entrance and adds definition to the façade after dark. Spacing several along a longer wall gives an even rhythm of light columns.

Can the Zevi EL be used outdoors?

Yes, it is rated IP54, which means it resists splashes and damp in sheltered positions such as a porch, carport or covered entrance. Keep it out of fully exposed spots, direct water jets and standing water, as IP54 is not rated for those conditions.

Does it give an up and down light effect?

Yes, the fitting directs light both upward and downward across the wall it is mounted on. This grazes the surface above and below to highlight brick, render or stone for a defined façade effect.

Is a bulb included, and can I change it?

The Zevi EL takes a standard GU10 PAR16 lamp up to 10W, which is replaceable. This lets you choose the brightness and colour temperature you prefer and swap the lamp easily over the life of the fitting.

How should I clean it?

Wipe the aluminium body with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards, with the power switched off. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh solvents so the grey finish stays intact.
