Description

The Zephra is a 42cm flush ceiling light with an integrated 23W LED built into a teardrop-shaped matt black metal frame. An opal polycarbonate diffuser covers the LED array, spreading 3000K warm white light evenly across the ceiling surface with minimal projection into the room below. The total fitting depth of 35mm suits low ceilings where a pendant or semi-flush would hang too far into the space.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms (IP20-rated, suitable for zones outside the shower area), kitchen nooks and compact living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m-2.4m, the Zephra provides functional ambient light without dominating the visual field. The teardrop profile softens the geometric ceiling line compared to a circular or square fitting, and the matt black finish pairs cleanly with modern, industrial and Scandi-minimalist interiors.

The powder-coated metal frame resists corrosion and surface wear, while the polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and lighter than glass equivalents. The integrated LED cannot be replaced separately, but Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering both the LED module and the housing. The non-dimmable LED operates on standard 230V mains via on-off switching.

Yes. At 35mm total projection from the ceiling, the Zephra sits almost flush and works well in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m or above where deeper fittings would intrude into headroom.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating permits installation in bathroom zones outside the immediate shower or bath area (typically zone 3 or unzoned areas). It cannot be fitted directly above a shower tray or bath where splash contact is likely.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 23W LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. Ideal Lux covers the entire fitting, including the LED, under a 5-year warranty.
