Description

The Yuzawa is a ceramic vase in black and white, with a body that swells gently from a narrow neck and rounds into a broad base. Its lower part is wrapped in a band of black that rises and falls in a soft wave, while the white upper part carries loose black brush strokes: a sweeping curve on one side and a run of short dashes across the other. The surface has a glossy finish that catches the light. It stands 26cm tall and 15cm across, with an opening 7cm wide and a capacity of 3.2 litres, so there is room for a generous bunch of stems.

This is a piece for indoors, at home on a side table beside the sofa, a sideboard in the hall, a bedroom chest of drawers or a kitchen shelf.
