Description

The York is a 185mm coach lantern-style outdoor ceiling light built from die-cast aluminium with a black powder-coated finish and clear textured glass panels on three sides. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the lantern housing, with the glass providing weatherproof protection while allowing full light output. The ceiling plate and short drop neck attach the lantern to a standard UK outdoor ceiling rose.

Designed for covered porches, entryway canopies, and sheltered exterior soffits where light rain and wind-blown spray can reach the fitting but not driving rain. The IP23 rating protects against vertically-falling drips and light spray from up to 60° from vertical, making it suitable for recessed areas under eaves or porch roofs. The 245mm total drop sits the lantern below the ceiling line to distribute light across the porch floor and doorstep.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion better than pressed steel alternatives and holds the black finish without flaking under UV exposure.
