Description
The Yalte is a garden spike light that stakes directly into soil or a planted border to graze light upward across foliage, fence panels or low walls. It draws 8W and puts out 370 lumens at a 4000K cool white tone, with a colour rendering of Ra 80 that keeps planting and brickwork looking natural after dark. Running on 220-240V AC mains, it pushes a focused upward beam rather than a broad wash, so the effect is closer to a landscape spike light or pathway accent than to general area lighting.
Use it to pick out shrubs, ornamental trees, a textured wall or the edge of a path, spacing several along a border where you want a run of accent points. Because the throw is directional and narrow, coverage is best judged by what each unit picks out rather than by floor area, so position one per plant or feature and angle the head to suit. The IP54 rating makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered spots such as a planted bed under eaves, a porch border or a carport edge; keep it clear of fully exposed positions that take direct rain or standing water.
Built from aluminium alloy in a black finish, the body resists corrosion in damp garden conditions and the steel spike anchors it firmly into the ground. It measures 80 × 45 × 600 mm and weighs 526 g, with most of that length being the spike that buries below the surface. The fitting is not dimmable and is rated for 30,000 hours of use, and it wires straight to mains supply with no separate transformer required. Other angled and recessed options sit alongside this model in the wider Yalte range.

Frequently Asked
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, within limits. The IP54 rating means it is splash-resistant and suited to sheltered outdoor positions such as a covered border, porch or carport edge. Avoid fully exposed spots that take direct rain, hose jets or standing water.
Is the angle adjustable?
The spike head can be tilted to aim the beam at the plant, wall or feature you want to light. Because the output is directional, a small change in angle makes a noticeable difference to where the light lands, so set it once the spike is firmly in the ground.
Does it need a separate transformer?
No. This model runs on 220-240V AC mains supply, so it wires straight into your garden circuit without a low-voltage driver or transformer. It should be connected by a qualified electrician using suitable outdoor-rated wiring and connectors.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the aluminium body and the lens with a soft damp cloth to clear soil splashes, leaf debris and water marks that can dull the output. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the black finish, and check the spike is still seated firmly after heavy weather or ground movement.
