Description
The YALTE garden spike light is a slim staked fitting for planted areas, drawing 8W to put out 350 lumens at a 4000K cool white tone. It stands 900mm tall on a narrow 80 x 45mm body, so it lifts the light source clear of low planting and casts it across the bed or border below. North American buyers will recognise this format as a landscape spike light, the staked path-and-planting fixture used to mark routes and pick out greenery. With a 44 lm/W output and Ra 80 colour rendering, the beam keeps foliage and surfaces reading naturally after dark.
Staked directly into soil or a border, the YALTE suits flower beds, shrub edges, planted pathways and the margins of patios and decking. It is best placed where it can be pushed firmly into the ground and angled towards the planting or surface you want to bring out, rather than used as broad area lighting. Because this is a directional accent fitting rather than ambient room lighting, think of its reach in terms of throw across a single bed or a short run of border, not floor coverage. Position several along a path or boundary to build a continuous line of low-level light.
The body is aluminium alloy in a black finish, chosen to recede against soil and planting in daylight. It carries an IP54 rating, which makes it splash-resistant and suited to sheltered or covered outdoor spots such as a porch or carport edge, though it should be kept clear of fully exposed positions, direct water jets and standing water. The fitting runs on 220-240V AC mains and is not dimmable, with a rated lifespan of around 30,000 hours. The YALTE sits within our wider range of outdoor and ground lighting, so matching spike and decking fittings can be specified for a consistent scheme.

Frequently Asked
Is the YALTE spike light suitable for outdoor use?
It carries an IP54 rating, so it is splash-resistant and well suited to sheltered or covered outdoor positions such as borders near a porch or carport. Keep it clear of fully exposed spots, direct water jets and standing water, as IP54 does not cover those conditions.
How is it mounted?
The fitting has a long spike at its base that is pushed directly into soil or a planted border, with no wall fixing or recessing required. At 900mm tall it lifts the light above low planting, and you can reposition it easily by lifting and re-staking as the garden changes.
Does it run on mains power or a transformer?
The YALTE runs directly on 220-240V AC mains, so no separate low-voltage transformer is needed. It draws 8W and delivers 350 lumens at a 4000K cool white tone.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the aluminium body and lens with a soft damp cloth to remove soil splashes, dust and any garden debris, avoiding harsh solvents on the black finish. Keep the lens clear so the 350 lumen output stays bright, and check the spike is still firmly seated after heavy weather.
