Description
The XLED candle bulb is a C35 flame-shape LED lamp on an E14 cap, the small Edison screw fitting also known as SES. It draws just 4.5 W while putting out 470 lumens, enough to stand in for a traditional 40 W candle bulb without the running cost. The light is a 2700K warm white with a wide 320 degree beam angle, so it spreads almost all the way round rather than throwing in one direction. American buyers will recognise the E14 base as the slim candelabra size, here in the European screw form.
Being a candle shape, this bulb is at home in chandeliers, wall brackets, pendant clusters and table and floor lamps where a slim flame profile is on show. The warm 2700K tone and 320 degree spread make it well suited to dining rooms, living rooms, hallways and bedrooms where a soft, inviting glow matters more than raw output. As a decorative lamp it gives gentle ambient and accent light rather than broad task coverage, so several across a multi-arm fitting work better than relying on one. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location.
The clear transparent glass shows off the visible LED filaments inside, giving the vintage look of an old wire-filament bulb with the efficiency of modern LED at 104 lm/W. It runs on 220 to 240 V AC mains straight from the E14 holder, with a CRI of Ra 80 for honest everyday colour and a rated life of 15,000 hours. The bulb measures Ø35 by 97 mm and weighs 16 g. Please note this is a non-dimmable lamp. We stock the XLED filament range across other shapes and caps if you need to match fittings elsewhere in the home.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E14 cap, the Small Edison Screw (SES) fitting. This is the slim screw base common on chandeliers, wall lights and many table and pendant lamps. Check your holder takes E14 rather than the larger E27 before ordering.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
It draws 4.5 W but produces 470 lumens, which matches the output of an old 40 W incandescent candle bulb. You get the same brightness for a fraction of the energy use. Remember the LED itself only uses 4.5 W; the 40 W figure is the equivalent it replaces.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable lamp. It should be used on a standard on/off circuit rather than a dimmer switch. Fitting a non-dimmable bulb to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life.
Why does it have visible filaments?
It is a filament-style LED with clear transparent glass, so the lit diodes look like the wires of a traditional vintage bulb. This suits open fittings and exposed-bulb fixtures where the lamp is on show. The warm 2700K tone adds to the classic look while keeping LED efficiency.
