Description

The XARD is a recessed in-ground light that sits flush with the surface and throws its beam upward to graze a wall, tree or facade. It takes a single E27 A60 lamp up to 40W, running on 220-240V AC, so the output and tone follow the bulb chosen rather than a fixed integrated LED. The round body measures Ø150 × 183 mm. Buyers in the US will know this format as an in-grade or well light, the buried uplighter set into paving or decking rather than staked above it.

The XARD suits driveways, patios, paths and planted borders where a light needs to be walked over without protruding. Because it recesses INTO the ground and shines straight up, its job is accent uplighting, picking out a wall, column or specimen tree, so coverage is best judged by throw and the spread of the chosen lamp rather than a room area. Set it close to the surface it lights for a tight graze, or further back for a wider wash. Its IP67 rating means it copes with exposed positions, standing water and temporary submersion after heavy rain.

Built from aluminium alloy with a stainless steel finish, the XARD carries an IP67 weatherproof rating and an IK10 impact rating, so it withstands burial, foot traffic and knocks. The 183 mm depth allows it to be sunk fully into the ground or deck, with the lens flush to the surface. A bulb is not included, leaving the E27 choice to suit the scheme.
