Description

The Worvarne is a square LED panel light that sits close to the ceiling, with a black plastic frame around a white plastic diffuser. It measures 29cm long, 29cm wide and only 3cm deep, so it keeps a low profile even where the ceiling is modest in height. The LEDs are integrated and give out 1,780 lumens, a generous output for a panel this slim. It carries an IP44 rating, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as the drier rooms of the house; a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone.

Because it is a smart light, you are not stuck with one mood. The colour temperature adjusts anywhere between 2700K and 6500K, from a warm glow for a relaxed evening to a crisp, cool white for shaving, make-up or cleaning, and it dims as well. It also changes colour, so a living room or bedroom can take on a tint whenever you fancy one. We like it in a hallway, a kitchen, a home office or a bathroom where a pendant would feel out of place, and the black frame gives a clean outline against a pale ceiling that suits modern interiors.

You control it through an app, and it works as part of a smart home setup. It also works with a remote control, which is sold separately and not in the box. There is no switch on the light itself: it runs from your wall switch on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply. The LEDs and the driver are built in and are not replaceable, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It has an energy class of E and weighs 0.82KG. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
