Description

The Worvarne is a square LED panel light for the ceiling, 29cm long, 29cm wide and just 3cm high. A black plastic frame borders a white plastic diffuser, so it reads as a crisp, clean outline against a pale ceiling. The light source is an integrated LED giving 1,780 lumens, spread across the whole face of the diffuser rather than from a single point. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water: it can go in a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone, or on the ceiling of a covered porch.

Because the panel is so shallow, it suits rooms with lower ceilings and spaces where a hanging light would get in the way, such as a hallway, landing, kitchen or utility room. Its colour temperature is given as 2700K, 4000K and 6500K, which covers a warm light for a relaxed evening, a neutral light for everyday living and a cool light that keeps a worktop or a desk bright and clear. The black frame gives the light a defined edge, so it sits comfortably alongside black door handles, window frames and picture frames in a modern home.

The body and the diffuser are both plastic, and the whole light weighs 0.8KG. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in light it is installed by a qualified electrician.
