Description

The Willow is a 3-light crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome frame that curves upward in flowing branches, each ending in an E14 candle-style lampholder. Clear teardrop crystals hang from the branches and from sconces at each lampholder, catching and refracting light across the chrome metalwork. The chandelier measures 500mm in diameter and is supplied without shades, leaving the crystal and metal framework fully visible.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Willow can be installed as a traditional pendant chandelier with a drop adjustable between 500mm and 1070mm, or converted to a semi-flush ceiling light by removing the chain and fitting directly to the canopy. This makes it suitable for bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and entrance areas where a full-drop chandelier would hang too low. The three E14 lampholders accept bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), and the fitting is compatible with dimmer switches when paired with dimmable bulbs.

The polished chrome finish provides a high-shine reflective surface that amplifies light from the bulbs and creates additional sparkle alongside the crystal droplets. Each teardrop crystal is individually hung, so the fitting shows slight movement when air circulates in the room. The 2kg weight requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting the load, and the fitting connects to standard UK ceiling roses via the chain-concealed cable. Can this be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light?

Yes. The Willow can be converted from a pendant chandelier to a semi-flush by removing the chain and fitting the canopy directly to the ceiling. This reduces the drop to 500mm and suits rooms with lower ceilings or where a full pendant would hang too low.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes three E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with candle-style LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to match the traditional chandelier aesthetic.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimmer switches, but dimming depends on the bulbs you fit. Use dimmable E14 LED bulbs and pair with a trailing-edge dimmer rated for LED loads to achieve smooth dimming without flicker.

Can shades be added?

The chandelier is supplied without shades. Diyas produces optional white or cream fabric shades within the Willow collection that clip onto the E14 lampholders if you prefer a softened look. The shades are sold separately.
