Description

The Viora is a 150W constant voltage LED driver with 1-10V dimming control, housed in a 350mm aluminium enclosure 30mm deep. The driver converts mains voltage to stable DC output for LED strip lights, linear fittings and low-voltage LED systems, holding output voltage constant even as the load fluctuates. The 1-10V dimming interface accepts a low-voltage control signal from compatible dimmer switches or lighting control systems, allowing smooth adjustment from 10% to 100% output.

Designed for commercial installations where LED strip runs exceed 50-60W or where multiple low-voltage fittings are controlled from a central point, the Viora suits retail display lighting, cove lighting, under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, architectural accent lighting and hospitality interiors. The 150W capacity handles up to 12.5A at 12V or 6.25A at 24V depending on the LED system voltage. The aluminium housing acts as a heatsink, dissipating heat across the 350mm length without requiring a cooling fan.

Thermal protection circuitry cuts power if the internal temperature exceeds safe operating limits, preventing damage to both the driver and connected LED loads. The constant voltage regulation protects LEDs from voltage spikes and sags on the mains supply, extending LED lifespan and preventing flicker. The compact 30mm projection allows the driver to be concealed in ceiling voids, behind joinery or within linear housing where space is limited. Input voltage is 220-240V AC 50/60Hz on standard UK mains wiring.

Frequently Asked

What dimming system does it use?

The Viora uses 1-10V dimming control. This requires a separate low-voltage control signal wire from a compatible 1-10V dimmer switch or lighting control panel to the driver's dimming input terminals. Standard mains dimmers will not work with this driver.

What LED systems is it compatible with?

The driver provides constant voltage DC output suitable for LED strip lights, linear LED modules and low-voltage LED fittings rated at 12V or 24V. Maximum load is 150W. Check the voltage and wattage requirements of your LED system before pairing.

Does it need ventilation when installed?

The aluminium housing dissipates heat passively without a fan, but the driver must not be enclosed in insulation or airtight spaces. Install in a ventilated ceiling void, service void or concealed compartment where air can circulate around the unit.

What protection does it carry?

The driver includes thermal overload protection that cuts power if internal temperature exceeds safe limits. It also provides constant voltage regulation to protect connected LEDs from mains voltage fluctuations.
