Description

This is the 2.47m double-headed lamp post from the Heritage range, a cast iron globe held in a banded cage, taken from a Victorian original. It stands 2.47m tall and measures 650mm across.

It belongs on a wide driveway or an entrance that needs light on both sides. It weighs 56.00KG, so it is a two-person lift and a real foundation job rather than a bolt into a paving slab. Harte rate it IP44, which covers splashing from any direction, so a covered or partly sheltered position is right; for a fully exposed position look at the IP65 fittings in the range. The same pattern runs from 2.47m to 3.4m, so you can match a pair across two positions without changing the look.

Glazing is polycarbonate and the lamp is an E27 screw fitting supplied without a bulb, so you choose the output and the colour rather than accepting a sealed unit. The maximum is 200W in total across two lamps; a 7W LED at 2700K is the usual choice. It is made in cast iron and galvanised steel.
