The Verbier is a 220mm square outdoor wall light with an anthracite-finished metal frame surrounding four clear glass panels, housing two E27 bulbs arranged vertically inside the box. The glass panels run flush with the frame edges, creating a display-case effect where the bulbs themselves become the decorative element when lit.

Designed for exterior walls, porches, and covered terraces, the Verbier carries an IP65 rating that protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed locations where rain and weather contact the fitting directly. The 82mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow porches and alongside doorways without protruding into walkways. The vertical bulb arrangement directs light both upward and downward along the wall surface, creating wash lighting that highlights wall texture and architectural detail.

The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey with a slight texture that reduces reflections and pairs well with modern rendered facades, grey brickwork, and black-framed windows. The Verbier accepts any standard E27 bulb rating (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose filament-effect bulbs for decorative glow or frosted LED bulbs for functional porch lighting. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the type of dimmer installed.

What does the IP65 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This makes the Verbier suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered porches, and locations where rain hits the fitting directly. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be submerged or constantly pooled with water.

What bulbs does it take?

The Verbier takes two standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with warm-white LED bulbs or clear filament-effect LED bulbs to show the bulb shape through the glass. The maximum wattage per bulb depends on the bulb type.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulb and the dimmer must be matched for reliable performance.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts directly onto an exterior wall via a back plate with fixing holes. The cable enters through the rear of the fitting and connects to a standard outdoor junction box or mains supply. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure IP65 sealing is maintained.
