Description

The Veltrix is a 400mm round flush ceiling light built from natural Spanish alabaster with a brushed brass centre detail. An integrated 36W LED running at 3000K sits behind the stone disc, casting warm light through the alabaster so the panel itself becomes the diffuser. At just 50mm deep, the fitting hugs the ceiling plane and works where a pendant or semi-flush would feel too low.

Designed for rooms with restricted ceiling height, the Veltrix suits hallways, landings, bedrooms, dressing rooms and compact kitchens where headroom is at a premium. The 50mm projection clears door swings and loft hatches that would catch on a deeper fitting, and the 400mm diameter gives enough light spread to act as the primary source in rooms up to around 9-12 square metres. It wires to standard 230V mains and fixes directly to a ceiling junction box.

The alabaster disc is assembled from individual sections of stone, each cut and joined so the natural veining, mineral inclusions and tonal variation read as a continuous surface when lit. No two Veltrix discs look identical because the stone itself dictates the pattern. The brushed brass centre cap covers the fixing point and adds a warm metallic accent against the cool, milky tone of the alabaster, with the brushed texture softening reflections rather than throwing pin-point highlights.

Is the Veltrix suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. At 50mm deep the fitting sits very close to the ceiling plane, making it well suited to rooms with low ceiling height, loft conversions, hallways and landings where a pendant or semi-flush would intrude into headroom or door swings.

Does it come with a bulb?

The Veltrix uses an integrated 36W LED running at 3000K (warm white). The light source is built into the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer driver and switch combination, so please contact us before pairing the Veltrix with a dimmer to confirm suitability.

Will every Veltrix look the same?

No. The disc is made up of natural Spanish alabaster sections, so veining, mineral inclusions and translucency vary between individual pieces. This variation is a feature of the stone rather than a defect, and is most visible when the light is switched on.
