Description

This is a small candle lamp with an E14 screw cap and a clear finish, so the shape and the tip stay legible in the fitting rather than being softened behind frosting. It draws 2W and puts out 250 lumens of warm white at 3000K, a gentle yellow-leaning tone that reads as lamplight rather than daylight and settles well against paint, timber and brass. It is not dimmable, so pair it with a plain switch or a switched circuit rather than a dimmer plate.

We reach for clear candles in chandeliers, wall lights and lanterns where the lamp is part of what you look at, and in table lamps with narrow shades where a rounder bulb would sit awkwardly against the frame. The slim envelope also helps in candelabra arms and glass shades that are open at the front, where a wide lamp crowds the fitting. Because a single one is modest in output, we would use several across a multi-arm fitting, or one on its own in a bedside lamp or a hall light where you want low, quiet illumination last thing at night.

The cap is the standard small screw type, so it goes straight into any fitting already running candle lamps, and the clear body keeps the whole lamp bright end to end. To clean, switch off at the wall, let it lose its warmth, then take dust off with a dry cloth and keep moisture away from the cap. It carries a three year warranty. We keep this as our everyday candle, the one we hand over when a customer arrives with a chandelier to fill and does not want to think about it again for a good while.
