Description

The Utah is a 250mm wide rectangular outdoor wall light with a white powder-coated aluminium body and a frosted polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting houses a single E27 socket (bulb sold separately) and carries an IP65 rating, meaning it's fully dust-sealed and protected against water jets from any direction.

Designed for exterior walls, the Utah suits pathways, porch entrances, garage sides and facade lighting where a low-profile fitting is needed. The 110mm projection and 110mm height give a compact footprint that works on narrow wall sections and under eaves. The frosted diffuser spreads light evenly across the wall surface rather than creating a focused beam, making it effective for ambient wash lighting and wayfinding at night.

The white finish reflects light well and pairs with rendered walls, white brick and light-toned cladding. The rectangular form sits comfortably on modern, minimalist and Scandinavian-style exteriors without competing with architectural lines. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb, allowing control over light output and colour temperature.

The 100-240V supply at 50/60Hz covers standard UK mains, and dimming is possible when both a compatible dimmable lamp and a suitable dimmer are added, as the fitting places no restriction on this. At 0.89kg the unit stays light enough for standard masonry fixings without extra bracing. For a warm glow at an entrance, lamps around 2700K to 3000K suit the frosted diffuser, giving even output without a bright point source. The single E27 socket keeps lamp replacement straightforward over the 2 year warranty period.

What bulb does it take?

The Utah takes a standard E27 screw bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for pathway and ambient lighting.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming, but both the bulb and the dimmer must be matched for smooth dimming performance.

What wall surface is it suited to?

The Utah fixes to any solid exterior wall surface: brick, rendered block, timber cladding or stone. The back plate measures 250mm x 110mm and requires two fixing points. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
